PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin for clothing, especially optimal for knitted fabric using fine size fiber, and having improved abrasion resistance which is a problem for conventional technologies, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: There is provided an abrasion resistant polyester fiber 12 capable of being obtained by melting and spinning polyester containing ethylene terephthalate as a major repeating unit and satisfying following (1) to (5) requirements. (1) The size is 8 to 100 dtex. (2) The single fiber size is 1 to 5 dtex. (3) Fracture strength is 4 cN/dtex or more. (4) Fracture elongation is 20 to 50%. (5) Minimum Young's modulus of a region of elongation 2 to 5% is 20 cN/dtex or less in a stress strain curve of fiber. |
