The present invention provides an electronic device and a method for sending a message. The electronic device can transmit a message or information to a peripheral device by connecting to the peripheral device via various communication means. The electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: a communication part for communicating with at least one first electronic device or at least one second electronic device using one communication method among multiple communication methods; and a control part for, if a message is received from the at least one first electronic device, checking at least one second electronic device to transmit a message to correspond to the reception of the message, generating a message to be transmitted to the checked second electronic device, and controlling the generated message to be transmitted to the second electronic device via the communication part. In addition, other embodiments of the present invention are possible.
