PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress noise caused by small oscillation of a plunger in a control valve for a variable displacement compressor subjected to PWM current-carrying control.SOLUTION: A control valve 1 comprises a solenoid 3 subjected to a PWM current-carrying control. The solenoid 3 includes a bobbin 56; an electromagnetic coil 58 wound around the coil 56; a core 50 provide coaxially with the bobbin 56; a plunger 54 disposed to face the core 50 in an axial direction inward of the bobbin 56; a yoke provided to surround the electromagnetic coil 58 as well as the core 50 and the plunger 56 and forming a magnetic circuit at a time of carrying a current to the electromagnetic coil 58; and an asymmetrical structure formed of an asymmetrical structure part about an axis of the bobbin 56 and biasing a balance of a radial magnetic attraction force acting on the plunger 54 to one side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
