Disclosed is an apparatus for registering a kiosk-type independent medical image data storage medium which comprises a display and a housing for forming a main body which are integrated to each other. The apparatus includes: a storage medium reader for obtaining medical image data by reading the storage medium recording medical image data; a reference modality DB for matching and storing modalities, generated by all medical equipment, currently and commercially sold, based on a modality generated by medical equipment that a relevant hospital possesses; a storage for storing images of read medical image data or medical treatment requests; and a control unit for extracting a reference modality, corresponding to a modality obtained from the read medical image data, from the reference modality DB, matching the extracted reference modality and medical image data to a medical treatment number, and storing the extracted reference modality and medical image data. |
