The present invention provides a system for guiding correction of walking gait and a control method thereof that can improve the effect of walking gait correction by providing fun to a user when correcting walking gait. The method for controlling a system for guiding correction of walking gait, according to an embodiment, may comprise the steps of: acquiring reference walking gait state information on the basis of user information; acquiring current walking gait state information on the basis of a walking gait signal which is received from a walking gait detecting device; configuring a monitoring screen including a comparison result between the reference walking gait state information and the current walking gait state information; and outputting the monitoring screen.
