PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle air conditioner ensuring high fuel-consumption-basis efficiency by making use of the fact that a combustor 6 is often higher than a heat pump in efficiency in a case of considering the efficiency on the basis of fuel consumption.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioner comprises: a hot water circuit 1 in which hot water cooling a heat source 4 in a vehicle flows; and a refrigeration cycle circuit 3 in which refrigerant compressed by a compressor flows and that constitutes a heat pump. The hot water circuit 1 includes a combustor 6 heating the hot water; a radiator 7 causing outdoor air to radiate heat of the hot water; and a heater core 8 implementing heat exchange between the hot water and conditioned air fed into the vehicle. The refrigeration cycle circuit 3 constitutes the heat pump. A control unit 10 includes means calculating fuel-combustion-basis efficiencies of both the refrigeration cycle circuit 3 and the combustor 6; and efficiency selection means preferentially actuating the heat pump or the combustor 6 higher in the calculated efficiency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
