PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for reducing burrs produced in a connector in which a rectangular terminal is press-fitted to the cavity of a connector housing.SOLUTION: If the front end of a first press-fit part 61 reaches the position of a guide groove part 38a for press-fitting a first terminal, that is, if the top face front end part of a first upper side press-fit part 61a is brought into contact with the boundary part 39 between the guide groove part 38a for press-fitting the first terminal and a guide groove part 38b for press-fitting a second terminal, positions are accurately corrected along the guide groove part 38b for press-fitting the second terminal thereafter. That is, a distance from the lower end face 54 of a terminal body 51 till the top face of a first upper side press-fitting part 61a is in conformity with the height from the undersurface of a cavity body 31 till the upper end of the guide groove part 38a for press-fitting the first terminal. As a result, a rectangular wire terminal 50 further press-fitted after the first press-fitting part 61 reaches the guide groove part 38a for press-fitting the first terminal is forcibly pressed against the lower face of the cavity body 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
