The present invention relates to an authentication system capable of determining authentication success when a first similarity index between an authentication attempt image and a registration image obtained from a user exceeds a first allowable value according to the attempt of the user who previously registers the registration image for biometric authentication. Provided is a method for repeatedly processing a biometric authentication recognition failure situation comprising: (1) a step for storing a plurality of failure authentication attempt images and a success authentication image in a storage space as one management file when the user finally succeeds biometric authentication after biometric authentication failure by attempting the biometric authentication for the authentication system; (2) a step for calculating a second similarity index by comparing the authentication attempt images, which are obtained every authentication failures during a predetermined period, with the failure authentication attempt images in management files stored in the storage space when the user fails the N^th or more biometric authentication during the predetermined time; and (3) a step for determining authentication success when at least one among the calculated second similarity indexes exceeds a second allowable value. |
