The present invention relates to a new method for forming a functional coating layer on an optical lens, and an optical lens with a functional coating layer formed thereon which is manufactured according to the method. Provided is a method for forming a functional coating layer on an optical lens, comprising: a step for forming a functional coating layer by printing a functional coating material on a base film or coating the base film with the functional coating material; a step for drying or curing the functional coating layer; and a step for transferring the dried or cured functional coating layer from the base film to an optical lens. The present invention can provide functions such as a photochromism and self-healing through application of only a simple additional process to a completed lens. The method of the present invention has high productivity, is capable of mass production, and is also capable of significantly reducing production costs compared to conventional methods. |
