PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processor which, while maintaining drawing performance in ray casting of volume rendering, can perform processing at higher speed than when performing calculation processing of all samples.SOLUTION: A medical image processor is provided with a calculation part and a rendering part. The calculation part calculates opacity and accumulated opacity with respect to a prescribed sample among volume data and calculates a significant coefficient on the basis of the calculated opacity and accumulated opacity. The rendering part selects at least one of a plurality of rendering processing on the basis of the significant coefficient and prescribed threshold and performs at least the selected one rendering processing for an area corresponding to the prescribed sample.
