1. A method of purifying an oligonucleotide comprising:
reacting a full length oligonucleotide with a compound of formula (IIe), to attach a polymerizable functional group to an end of the full length oligonucleotide; polymerizing the full length oligonucleotides; removing the failure sequences from the polymerized full length oligonucleotides; and recovering the full length oligonucleotides, wherein the compound of formula (IIe) is: wherein: X is selected from: R1 is halo or —NRaRb; R2 is —CH3 or —CH2—CH2-EWG; EWG is an electron-withdrawing group; R3a, R3b, R4, R5, R6 and R20 are each independently hydrogen or alkyl; R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, R12, Ra and Rb are each independently alkyl; each A is independently selected from hydrogen and —O-PG; each PG is independently selected from hydrogen and a protecting group; Y is —O—, —CH2—, —S—, —C(═O)N(R20)—, —N(R20)C(═O)— or —N(R20)— linker is (CH2)r or (CH2)x[(CH2)xO(CH2)x]p(CH2)y or (CH2)x[(CH2)xO(CH2)x]n(CH2)xN(R′)C(═O)(CH2)m or (CH2)rN(R′)C(═O)(CH2)m or; each x and y are independently an integer from 1 to 12; r is an integer from 1 to 36; p is an integer from 1 to 18; and m is an integer from 1 to 18. |
