LNG CARGO CONTAINMENT

The present invention relates to an LNG tank of an LNG carrier where LNG is stored. The LNG tank comprises: a membrane layer which absorbs the load of fluid stored inside; a heat insulating layer; and an outer wall layer. The heat insulating layer is composed of two heat insulating layers and a reinforcement plate installed between the heat insulating layers. At least one of the heat insulating layers is formed by successively stacking heat insulating plates having plate-shaped structures, wherein each of the heat insulating plates is formed by alternately bonding insulation beams made of different materials to each other. Therefore, the present invention has excellent mechanical strength and heat insulation performance through the complementary action of the insulation beams, thereby securing the safety and reliability of the LNG tank.
