摘要 According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for detecting a boundary of an object in a depth image includes the following steps: (a) an image processing apparatus identifies an outline of the object in the depth image; (b) the image processing apparatus generates a convex hull of the object by using the identified outline; (c) the image processing apparatus determines at least one, satisfying a predetermined condition, selected from one or more convexity defects points of the identified outline; and (d) the image processing apparatus determines an adjusted boundary of the object formed by connecting multiple vertexes of the convex hull and one or more selected convexity defects points to each other. According to the present invention, noise of a boundary which is frequently generated in the depth image obtained by a three-dimensional camera applying infrared rays can be efficiently corrected.
