PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which effectively utilize an absorption capacity of an absorber, and does not easily cause leakage and liquid return.SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 includes a liquid-permeable surface sheet 2, a poorly liquid-permeable back surface sheet 3, and a liquid-holding absorber 4 interposed and arranged between both sheets 2 and 3. The absorber 4 has an upper layer absorber 4A and a lower layer absorber 4B, the upper layer absorber 4A has an absorptive core 41, the lower layer absorber 4B has an absorptive core 43 having a center absorptive core 45 and side absorptive cores 46 and 46 positioned on both sides thereof, and the upper layer absorber 4A and the lower layer absorber 4B are piled up in the state of interposing a plurality of hydrophilic liquid diffusion sheets 42 and 44 between the absorptive cores 41 and 43. |
