PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device and an illumination device that enable appropriate adjustments of control information relative to a control object device, and are excellent in operability.SOLUTION: An operation device according to an embodiment comprises: a touch panel; a first control information generation unit that generates first control information relative to a control object device on the basis of information in a first axial direction and undergoing a flick input to the touch panel; generates second control information different from the first control information in an amount of change of a control level relative to an amount of input on the basis of information in a second axial direction crossing the first axial direction and undergoing the flick input to the touch panel; and a control information addition unit that adds the first control information and the second control information to generate one control information.
