An electrochemical device comprises a wound laminated body 10, and the laminated body 10 has: a wound body 100 constituted by, starting from the outside, a first electrode 6, a first separator 8, a second electrode 4, and a second separator 9; an electrolytic solution L; and an outer package 5 that houses the wound body and the electrolytic solution. The electrochemical device satisfies all of the following at an outer end 10e of the laminated body in a winding direction: (a) the first separator and the second separator protrude more outward in the winding direction than the second electrode; (b) the first electrode protrudes more outward in the winding direction than the first separator and the second separator; and (c) an outer end of the first separator in the winding direction inclines toward a center of winding and comes into contact with an upper surface of the second separator beyond the second electrode and, at the same time, an outer end of the first electrode in the winding direction inclines toward the center of winding and comes into contact with the second separator and with the peripherally inner first electrode beyond the second electrode. |
