The subject of the invention is a safety knife provided with a mechanism for automatic retraction of the blade at the end of cutting, having a body (50), a carriage (10) and a blade holder (20), the blade holder (20) being able to slide with respect to the carriage between a withdrawn retracted position of the blade and an advanced extended position of the blade, the knife being provided with a system of journals/slideways (11, 21, 11', 21') for guiding the blade holder between the advanced position and the withdrawn position, the journals (21, 21') forming, in the advanced position, a blade holder rotation axis that is designed to incline the blade holder with respect to the direction of extension of the blade in response to a cutting force at an inclined cutting position (α) and for which the mechanism has a push rod (30) for retaining the blade holder that is disposed between the carriage and the blade holder and is designed to disconnect the blade holder from the carriage during the inclination of the carriage towards the inclined cutting position. |
