Provided are a vehicle for recognizing a voice received on the basis of a setup language of an external device, and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the vehicle, the vehicle comprises: a communications unit for receiving text data stored in an external device; a data conversion unit for converting the received text data into voice data; a voice input unit for receiving a voice from a user; a voice recognition unit for recognizing the received voice on the basis of a setup language of the external device; and a control unit for verifying voice data corresponding to the recognized voice, generating a control command including voice data based on the recognized voice, and transmitting the control command to the external device through the communications unit. |
