METHOD OF RECOVERING VALUABLE MATERIALS FROM WASTE HOUSEHOLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE

A method in which metal elements are efficiently recovered as valuable materials from composites derived from waste household electrical appliance products and in which recovery is performed while ensuring the quality of recovered inorganic materials close as much as possible to that at the stage of use of the inorganic materials in electrical appliances. There is disclosed a method of recovering inorganic elements from composites derived from electrical products composed of organic elements and inorganic elements, which method comprises bringing the composites into contact with a titanium dioxide catalyst and removing at least part of the organic elements by decomposition reaction thereof in an oxygenous atmosphere.
