PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of maintaining image quality at a proper level even under conditions wherein a residue toner amount increases, in an image forming device carrying out supply of lubricant to a portion to be cleaned removing residue toner by a cleaning member. SOLUTION: At timing of a toner image carried on an image carrier reaching a predetermined copy position, reaching failure information indicating that a sheet for copying the toner image has not reached the copying position is acquired, and if the reaching failure information is acquired, an electric field opposite to an electric field generated when the toner image on the image carrier is copied to the sheet is generated between the image carrier and a copying member.
