PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone set which is provided with a sound detection function and prevents wasteful power consumption. SOLUTION: A cordless telephone system contains a master unit connected to a line and a slave unit 10 which can mutually transmit/receive data with the master unit through a radio line. The master unit transmits a ringing indication signal to the slave unit 10 based on a calling signal and automatically closes the line based on a prescribed signal from the slave unit. The slave unit 10 switches a transistor 40 for switching the supply state/interruption state of current to an attenuator 26 and a subtracter 30. When detecting the outer sound of not less than a prescribed level, it switches over to the supply state at the time of ringing of indication signal, and then to the interruption state at the stop of the ringing indication signal. |
