PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously transmit lens information and diaphragm information to a camera body side from an interchangeable lens, as necessary, without increasing the number of lens contacts. SOLUTION: A lens interchangeable camera body includes a control means 11, which inputs/outputs information through electrical contacts C4 and C5 between the interchangeable lens 2, including focusing mechanisms 22 to 24 and diaphragm mechanisms 26 to 28, and the control means, and performs focusing control and diaphragm control in the interchangeable lens 2. In the lens interchangeable camera body, the electrical contact C5 which are used for inputting the first information concerning the movement of a focusing lens 24 by the focusing mechanisms 22 to 24 from the interchangeable lens 2, is concurrently used as an electrical contact for inputting second information concerning the diaphragm control by the diaphragm mechanisms 26 to 28 from the interchangeable lens 2.
