FILTER FOR FORMALDEHYDE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A functional filter media for absorbing formaldehyde and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the quality of indoor air by increasing the absorbing ability of formaldehyde using natural materials. CONSTITUTION: A functional filter media for absorbing formaldehyde includes a porous film and a natural material attached to the porous film. The porous film is formed by electrospinning nanofiber with a 50nm to 1000nm diameter. The nanofiber is composed of one or more polymers selected from polyvinylidene fluoride, polyvinylidene fluoride-tetrafluorethylene-hexafluoropropylene tricopolymer. The natural material is vegetable polyphenol. Flavonoid compound contained in the vegetable polyphenol includes antibacterial function and formaldehyde absorbing ability.
