<p>Oxygen lance for use with steel making equipment comprises coaxial pipes for O, the coolant and the screening gas. The O-injection nozzles into the melt are at the bottom, whilst on its circumference above the bottom are slot shaped nozzles forming >=2 turns of a helix on the lance housing for the screening gas. Prefd. screening gas is air and the coolant employed is water. The air nozzles cool the lance surface thereby extending its service life.</p> |
