PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an incandescent lamp which restrains halation to be generated because light from a filament is reflected by a bulb, and reduces light to be leaked, for example, when using it as a light source of a spotlight. SOLUTION: In the incandescent lamp having: the bulb 11 made of a tube-shaped quartz glass; and the filament 20 arranged in the bulb 11 and formed in a plane state, the bulb 11 has a swelling section 15 formed along a spherical surface or an oval spherical surface wherein the center or a focus exists on a flat surface concerning a filament formation zone T, in a peripheral wall including a zone facing the filament 20.
