PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting structure and a fitting method for a slider that fit the slider to a support base more easily and stably than before. SOLUTION: The fitting structure for the slider includes the slider 1 having a slide end 3 atop, the support base 4 where the slider 1 is supported and fixed, and a metal terminal 6 which is electrically connected to the slider 1 and includes a connection terminal portion 6b for the outside at one end. The support base 4 includes a fitting space 7 for fitting the slider 1, a support end 2 of the slider 1 and a first support end piece 10a of the metal terminal 6 are put over a first sidewall 7a of the fitting space 7, and a fixing member 8 for pressing the support end 2 of the slider 1 and the first support end piece 10a of the metal terminal 6 toward the first sidewall 7a is inserted into the fitting space 7.
