PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for performing higher-reliability network diagnosis than before.

SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 200 includes: a first communication part communicating with a printer 100 having a diagnostic function of a network by use of a first communication method; a second communication part communicating with the printer 100 by use of a second communication method; a first transmission part transmitting a diagnostic request to the printer 100 through the first communication part; and a second transmission part transmitting a prescribed signal for confirming presence of the printer 100 to the printer 100 through the second communication part after the transmission of the diagnostic request.
