<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergence type ultrasonic flaw detection sensor of a wide convergence range and high sensitivity in ultrasonic flaw detection. <P>SOLUTION: The curvature of an ultrasonic element 5 is changed so as to be large or small from the center of the element to the outer periphery. The curvature is continuously changed together with a distance from the center of the ultrasonic element 5. Also, it may be changed for each region by dividing the ultrasonic element 5 into a plurality of regions. The ultrasonic element 5 is divided, and ultrasonic waves are oscillated using an element for which a flaw detection position and a convergence distance match among the divided ultrasonic elements. Also, when oscillating the ultrasonic waves, an ultrasonic wave oscillation start time difference between the respective division elements may be controlled so that the ultrasonic waves simultaneously reach a flaw detection distance from the respective divided ultrasonic elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
