<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a two-component developer and a method for forming an image, which prevents fog, decrease in transferring property, carrier deposition, toner scattering or carrier scattering due to degradation of the developer, even when images are formed in an extremely great number of sheets. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a two-component developer comprising a carrier having a resin-coated magnetic core material and a toner for electrostatic latent image development includes steps of: (1) mixing porous ferrite particles, which are used as the magnetic core material, and resin particles at a temperature lower than the glass transition temperature of the resin particles to deposit the resin particles on the surfaces of the porous ferrite particles to form a carrier intermediate; (2) stirring the carrier intermediate at a temperature equal to or higher than the glass transition temperature of the resin particles to form a resin coating layer and then cooling; and (3) mixing the cooled carrier having the formed film thereon with the toner for electrostatic latent image development. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
