The present invention relates to a cloud content delivery network (CDN) system and a content providing method using the system. The cloud CDN system according to the present invention comprises: multiple edge server groups which provide a copy of content stored in multiple CDN servers or a copy of content uploaded from the CDN servers to an internal CDN server, to multiple end users connected through domains of the CDN servers; and a control module which collects health information from the edge server groups, selects, when a first edge server group in which one or more of measurement values included in the health information exceeds a reference value is detected, a second edge server with the smallest measurement value included in the health information, and additionally connects the CDN servers or the internal CDN server connected to the first edge server group, to at least one edge server included in the second edge server group. According to the present invention as described above, it is possible to reduce a traffic load in which content data traffic is concentrated on one node due to the connection of multiple end users. In addition, it is possible to select an edge server group optimized in accordance with types of CDN services by using health information of the edge server groups. |
