According to the present invention, a reflection type display device includes: a display unit including a first particle having an electric charge and a first color, a capsule having a second color, and an optical transmittance fluid in which the first particle and the capsule are dispersed; an electric field applying unit applying an electric field to the display unit; and a control unit controlling a color displayed from the display unit by adjusting at least one of an intensity and a direction of the electric field applied to the display unit. A location of the capsule within the display unit is passively determined by a location of the first particle moved by the electric field. |
