The invention relates to a system for saving water, suitable for installation on a water-supply installation with a water heater (4) and a series of cold and hot water-consumption points (7), arriving at each of which is a cold pipe (15) coming from the cold water branch (8) and a hot pipe (16) coming from the hot water branch (10). The system comprises a non-return valve (2), an actuation module (12) with actuation means (21), a first control means (22) and a first wireless signal transceiver (25); a recirculation module (13) with an electric pump (31) which are suitable for recirculating the water, a second control means (32), and a wireless signal receiver (33); a connection module (14) which comprises a third control means (41), a first electrovalve (42) disposed in fluidic connection with a cold pipe (15) and a hot pipe (16) which arrive at the same consumption point (7) such that, when the electrovalve opens, it places the water in the cold pipe (15) in communication with the hot pipe (16), the electrovalve being connected to both, and a second wireless signal transceiver (45), and stop means (43, 44, 26) suitable for emitting a signal to stop actuation. The invention also relates to a method of operating the system. |
