PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve lithium composite oxide, specifically, a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which is high in capacity density.SOLUTION: A positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes lithium transition metal composite oxide which has a hexagonal crystal structure and in which a compositional ratio of nickel, manganese and cobalt is represented as NiCoMnO(where, 0.05≤b≤0.70, 0.08≤c≤0.35 and 0.17≤b+c≤0.80 are satisfied). Thus, a positive electrode active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, which is high in capacity density, can be obtained. |
