PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for manufacture of airfoil components.SOLUTION: The present disclosure relates generally to systems and methods for manufacturing an airfoil component. In the method, the system can include: a geometrical mold; an elongated flexible sleeve 20 having a closed-off interior 22 and positioned within the geometrical mold, the elongated flexible sleeve 20 being further positioned to have a desired geometry; an infusing channel 30 being in fluid communication with the closed-off interior of the elongated flexible sleeve 20 and configured to communicate a resinous material thereto; a vacuum channel 40 being in fluid communication with the closed-off interior 22 of the elongated flexible sleeve 20 and configured to vacuum seal the closed-off interior 22 of the elongated flexible sleeve 20; and a glass fiber layer 50 positioned within the closed-off interior 22 of the elongated flexible sleeve 20. |
