PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which improves a cooling performance by reducing temperature rising in a stator in the vicinity of a stator end portion and a coolant outlet.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine 100 includes: a stator 300; a rotor 400 which is held at an inner diameter side of the stator via a predetermined gap in a rotatable manner; and a housing 110 which is positioned at an outer diameter side of the stator and holds the stator and the rotor. The housing includes a coolant flow passage 113 for circulating a coolant, and a height of the coolant flow passage in the housing in a radial direction is made different in accordance with an axial position of the rotor. |
