PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of preventing a restored block area from becoming non-accessible and a data restoration process from becoming non-executable by abnormality in a spare HDD.SOLUTION: Provided is a storage device comprising data storage means 12, spare data storage means 13, and a control unit 11 for saving data in the data storage means 12 and spare data storage means 13, wherein the control unit 11, after saving data in the data storage means 12, saves, in the spare data storage means 13, save-area information indicating an area in which the data was saved, and, when restoring the data saved in the data storage means 12 to the spare data storage means 13, saves, on the basis of the save-area information, null data in the area of the spare data storage means 13 that corresponds to an area in which no data is saved. The storage device 10 is provided with a plurality of data storage means 12, and the plurality of storage means may constitute one storage area by being arranged in accordance with a RAID scheme. |
