PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a nonaqueous electrolyte which enables the achievement of a high capacity-keeping rate after an endurance test such as a high-temperature preservation test or a cycle test, and the offering of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in charge and discharge rate characteristics, input and output characteristics, impedance characteristic, etc. even after such an endurance test; and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery arranged by use of such a nonaqueous electrolyte.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte used for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material capable of occluding and releasing metal ions, and a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material capable of occluding and releasing metal ions comprises: a lithium oxalato salt; a diisocyanato compound; and carbonate including an unsaturated bond and/or a fluorine atom. The diisocyanato compound has a cyclic structure, and a nitrogen atom only in an isocyanato group. |
