A filter device (10) is equipped with a catheter (11) which has a rumen (20) formed therein, a shaft (12) which extends in the length direction from the rumen (20), and a filter (13) which can capture emboli. The filter (13) is connected, at the tip thereof, to the shaft (12) with a slide ring (23) interposed therebetween. The shaft (12) is inserted through the ring (23). The ring (23) can rotate about the shaft (12) and can slide in the length direction. When the filter (13) is expanded in a blood vessel (30), the ring (23) slides on the shaft (12). The filter (13) is connected, at the periphery of an opening (21) thereof, to the shaft (12) with another ring (24) interposed therebetween. The shaft (12) is inserted through the ring (24). The ring (24) can rotate about the shaft (12). The ring (24) is held between a pair of stoppers (25, 26) that are fixed to the shaft (12). In this manner, the movement of the ring (24) in the length direction relative to the shaft (12) is constrained. |
