Disclosed are an apparatus for managing a graphics state, and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus comprises a state version manager for managing a change between a plurality of graphics state versions by allocating or releasing a memory space based on a page of a predetermined size with respect to each of the graphics state versions in the memory space. The state version manager may be configured to allocate or release the page by using a sequence of binary values for indicating whether pages corresponding to each of the graphics state versions are referred or not.
