<p>An internal combustion engine E has a turbocompressor or turbocharger TC with a turbine T on an exhaust gas line of the engine E and a compressor C on an intake line IL of the engine. An engine cooling circuit comprises an expansion tank LAT connected by a pipe 10 to a point of the intake line IL downstream of compressor C. Pipe 10 comprises a mechanical valve V to open and close pipe 10 in relation to a differential pressure between points upstream and downstream of the valve V. The valve V may be set according to a maximum supercharging pressure of the turbocompressor TC. The valve V may be a three-way valve with a third port connected to either the intake line IL or the expansion tank LAT, or it may comprise an air expansion reservoir (11, Fig. 2). An intercooler may be connected to the intake line IL downstream of the compressor C.</p> |
