PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for a heavy load 2 capable of suppressing interlayer separation of a belt by enhancing rigidity of the belt without increasing mass.SOLUTION: The tire 2 includes a tread 4, a pair of side walls 6, a pair of beads 10, a carcass 12 and a belt 18. The belt 18 has a plurality of plies 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d laminated in a tire radial direction; each of the plies has a large number of serially connected cords and topping rubber; the cords have a 1×4 single stranded structure; the ratio A (=F/E) of flexural rigidity F to high tensile strength E of one cord satisfies 0.090≤A≤0.112; and the high tensile strength E of one cord satisfies 1550 N≤E≤1750 N. |
