The present invention relates to aqueous compositions of hyaluronic acid combined with chitosan and salts thereof and glycerophosphate having thermogelling and mucoadhesive properties. These properties allow the use thereof for treating mucosal lesions by topical administration and particularly for treating mucosa of body cavities, with a particular interest in the lesions derived from chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy used to treat cancer.
