PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means that sustains the opening of a bag, such as, small polyethylene bag, having no handle, being soft and its size being varied, so as to facilitate throwing of kitchen garbage, etc., therein. SOLUTION: The means has two pieces of cantilevered engaging members 2 and 2a, being mutually parallel to each other, and a rail-shaped guiding portion 5 orthogonal to the engaging members, and each engaging member moves along the guiding portion so that the distance between these two pieces of engaging members is changeable. The opening of the bag is folded back outward, and the engaging members 2, 2a are inserted into the folded back portion, after which the space between the engage members is extended, so that tension is generated at the folded-back portion in a circumferential direction and the created frictional force keeps the bag open. The space between the engaging members has no possibility to spontaneously come loose by being pressed back by the tension of the bag. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
