PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid occurrence of gear noise in quick operation in a synchronizing device for a transmission which can improve synchronizing performance by a self-servo action. SOLUTION: Notches 20f, 20g of a hub 20, which are engaged with a thrust piece 28 inserted into a groove 24e of a sleeve 24 so as to be slidable in the rotational direction, are formed into a shape in which the thrust piece 28 can be brought into contact with inclined faces 20h, 20i, 20j, and 20k of the hub 20 by being allowed to rotate to the hub 20 when axially moved toward a synchronizing ring 16 from a neutral position, and also, the thrust piece 28 is not rotated to the hub 20 when moved in the direction opposite to the synchronizing ring 16 from the neutral position.
