PURPOSE:To realize a high frequency window of a wide high-frequency range, which is used for a helix-type traveling-wave tube, by providing a high-frequency-window external-circuit converting part, which has a length of 1/4 (+ or -10%) the wave length used between the high frequency window and an external circuit, and has a characteristic impedance value between the input impedance of the helix seen from the external-circuit side of the high frequency window and the input impedance of the external circuit. CONSTITUTION:An external-circuit high-frequency-window converting part having lambdag/4 length is provided between a high frequency window and an external circuit. Here, the characteristic impedance of an external-circuit high-frequency- window converting part is adjusted between the input impedance of the tubular bulb seen from the external-circuit side of the high frequency window, and the characteristic impedance of the external circuit. By providing such an external- circuit high-frequency-window converting part, a helix-type traveling-wave tube having an excellent matching characteristic of the helix seen from the external circuit over a wide range of high frequencies can be provided. |
