PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can suppress an ink stain on a sheet. SOLUTION: In this recording apparatus which is provided with a flexible flat cable 61 for transmitting a driving signal to a recording head, keeps one end 61A of the cable 61 held by a carriage 21 which is equipped with the recording head, and the other end 61B by a base frame 15 facing the carriage 21 so that a bent part 61C can be formed between one end 61A and the other end 61B, where a position of the bent part 61C of the cable 61 is changed along with the carriage 21, a cavity part 63, into which the bent part 61C enters, is provided in an end area P of the base frame 15 on the side of the movement of the bent part 61C.
