The sloping face of an embankment (2) is supported by vertical posts (4) with a sloping outer face (6) and vertical inner face (5). Extending inwards at the bottom is a stabilising foot (3) and extending outwards from the sloping face are horizontal plant growing troughs (7). Earth can pass through the horizontal gaps (16) towards the troughs. Each post has horizontal slots at different heights, open towards the sloping face and deeper at the rear (13) forming an abutment face (12) for the back of the trough. This forms tongue and groove joints between the posts and troughs. ADVANTAGE - Plant growth is encouraged, for improved appearance.
