PURPOSE:To obtain easily the title composition excellent in strengths, heat resistance and oil resistance by a simple process by mixing a diene rubber with carbon black and an acrylic fiber. CONSTITUTION:The title composition is obtained by mixing 50-80wt.% diene rubber (A) (desirably an acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer rubber having a good interfacial affinity for an acrylic fiber) with 1-30wt.% carbon black and 5-40wt.% acrylic fiber (desirably one of a fiber length of 0.1-10mm, a finess of 0.1-10d and an aspect ratio of 10-1000). This composition can be easily obtained by a simple process, and is very good in heat resistance and oil resistance as well as in tensile strength. Therefore, it can exhibit desired excellent properties even in a high-temperature corrosive atmosphere when it is used for a high-pressure hose, packing, conveyor belt or the like. |
