Device intended for teaching and training in ball games, particularly tennis, using a ball support which can be adjusted in various directions and a means for temporarily attaching the ball. The device consists of a jib-type structure (1) formed from a support (2) and an attaching means (3) or support (2), of a horizontal arm (4) of a fastening means (5) for the ball (6) at the free end (7) of a wire (thread) (8) originating from the free end (9) of the arm (4). The horizontal arm (4) is composed of two parts (10, 11) which are telescopic and which permit an adjustment of the length of the horizontal arm (4); the said horizontal arm (4) is mounted so as to slide vertically on its support (2); the other end (12) of the horizontal arm (4) is articulated vertically and angularly about a shaft (13) integral with a slide (14) composed of a vertical rod (15) integral with attaching flanges (3).
