PURPOSE:To provide an automatic remote metering system which effectively copes with the coexistence of the plural kinds of electronic meters even if they coexist in the system. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a bi-directional cable TV line, plural terminal transmitting equipments 8, 16 and 18 which are connected to the bi-directional cable TV line and address-allocated so as to meter the electronic meter and an automatic metering central device 1 collecting metering data from the respective terminal transmitting equipments 8, 16 and 18 by polling/selecting procedure. The system is constituted in such a way that the respective terminal transmitting equipments 8, 16 and 18 have classification information of the respectively connected meters, the automatic metering central device 1 reads classification information of the meters belonging to the respective terminal transmitting equipments 8, 16 and 18 by polling procedure and also control software corresponding to the classifications of the respective meters is down-loaded to the respective equipments 8, 16 and 18 by selecting procedure so as to output specified metering data. |
